Mother Earth
The true cost of modern consumption is written across the land.
Livestock farming is one of the most land-intensive systems humanity has ever created. Producing a single kilocalorie of meat can require up to one hundred times more land than producing the same energy from plant-based sources. This imbalance has reshaped the planet. If the world transitioned to plant-based diets, global agricultural land use could be reduced by as much as 75%.
Beef demand alone is one of the primary drivers of global deforestation. The Amazon rainforest, the largest tropical forest on Earth stands on the brink of irreversible collapse. Vast ecosystems have been cleared to create pastureland for livestock, pushing once-thriving habitats toward extinction.
Beef production also carries a disproportionate climate burden, generating up to twenty times more greenhouse gas emissions than common plant-based protein sources. The World Resources Institute warns that if current meat consumption trends continue, an additional 400 million hectares of land could be cleared by 2050—an outcome that would make limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C impossible.
When forests disappear, the consequences multiply. We lose carbon sinks. We lose freshwater reserves. We lose plant and animal biodiversity. Each loss accelerates climate instability and deepens ecological collapse.
Research from the University of Oxford reveals a different path. If humanity meets its protein needs through plant and vegetarian sources rather than animals, global farmland use could be reduced by up to 75% an area equivalent to the combined size of the United States, China, and Australia. Deforestation could fall by as much as 94%. Such a shift would not only restore balance to the land, but redefine our relationship with life itself.
Already, more than half of the world’s tropical forests have been destroyed to grow feed and grazing land for livestock. Today, forests are being cleared at a rate equivalent to hundreds of football fields every hour.
At Divinom, our philosophy is uncompromising. Every product we create is entirely plant-based —by principle, not trend. Our global team is united by a commitment to educate, inform, and awaken a deeper sense of responsibility. Animals are not commodities; they are sentient beings. The systems that confine, force-feed, and slaughter them for consumption and cosmetic indulgence reflect a profound ethical failure.
We advocate Ahimsa—a non-violent way of living. A choice that protects animal life, preserves biodiversity, safeguards forests, and restores planetary balance. It is also a path toward improved human health and a more equitable food system.
Feeding people directly with whole plant foods is far more efficient than growing crops to feed animals and then consuming those animals. A global transition to plant-based nutrition could sustainably feed a population of nine billion by 2050, while significantly reducing hunger and environmental strain.
It is time to abandon the mindset of human supremacy, the posture of conqueror, plunderer, and predator. The future demands restraint, compassion, and coexistence.
Mother Earth does not ask for dominance.
She asks for reverence.
